Dara Senders, the bi-continental founder behind the Designer Label DARA SENDERS, strives to combine the ease and refinement of American dressing with the chic and whimsy of Parisian culture to create sophisticated and beautiful clothing for all women.

The fit, fine lines, femininity, exquisite fabrics, enduring colors, and couture like craftsmanship are all hallmarks of the seasonal collections Senders designs. She is determined to redefine the fashion industry’s notion of the “standard fit” sizing rule; believing all shapes and sizes require stylish, exquisite and high quality clothing in contrast to what the current Designer Market sizing specifications offer. Senders is passionate in the reality that “fuller figured women” should be able to shop the same, dress the same, look and feel as wonderful and glamorous as their fellow “straight size women” can and do

Senders, a New Jersey native with close access to the New York Fashion Industry, had always set her sights on a career as a Fashion Designer. She precociously started selling hand knit scarves to her community and volunteering backstage at New York Fashion Week Shows before the age of 15. She went on to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology majoring in Fashion Merchandising Management and Product Development while supplementing her education with internships at Carmen Marc Valvo and Bill Blass. Upon graduating Senders worked as a fashion and lifestyle journalist, accessories designer, and published a blog The Style Senders before launching her label Dara Senders in the fall of 2018.

Since 2016, Senders moved to Paris (continues to split her time between NYC and Paris) and began forming a team of highly talented couturiers to assist in her collection’s development and creation of fitting to a specific and innovative curve which goal is to fit every body properly and effortlessly Dara Senders was launched during Paris Fashion Week Femme Spring 2019 and was the first brand to premiere during PFW with size inclusivity at the forefront; showcasing models of all shapes and sizes seamlessly.

The Spring 2019 collection was inspired by a disparate range of influences such as Sender’s love of Le Palais de Versailles, the candy-like pastels of 1960’s fashion, and the energy of American 1970’s disco music and culture. The collection features dramatic jeweled tops and dresses with chiffon bell and butterfly sleeves, fitted statement blazers, regally ruffled cape dresses, classic blouses adorned with her signature larger than life satin bows and flowing kimonos that can all be worn from day to night. The collection is constructed from the finest luxurious crepes, twills, satins, chiffons, and sequins and is available in sizes Small through 3X.
